BUBBLE PRINT GIFT WRAP
You Will Need:
• Old newspapers
• Ready-mixed paints: choose your colors
• Dishwashing liquid
• Water
• Old spoon
• Drinking straws
• Shallow bowl
• White paper
Steps:
1. Cover the work surface with newspaper; this is a MESSY project. Using an old spoon, stir together ½ cup water, 1-2 tablespoons red paint, and ½ tablespoon dishwashing liquid in the bowl.
2. Put a straw in the paint mixture and gently blow to make bubbles. Keep blowing until the bubbles are almost over the edge of the dish.
3. Put a piece of white paper on the top of the bubbles and hold it there until several bubbles have popped. Move the paper and continue popping bubbles until most of the paper has been printed.
4. Clean the bowl and make a blue paint mixture. Repeat steps 1 to 3 so you have a blue and red bubbly pattern. Leave the paper to dry.
5. TIP: If you don’t get enough bubbles when you blow, add a drop more dishwashing liquid. If the bubbles are too faint on the paper, add more paint to the mixture.
