The mission of Capernaum is to provide, with integrity, professional, caring, and cost-effective pediatric services, so as to help the child reach his/her full potential. Capernaum provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to children with a wide range of developmental needs.

NEWS OF THE MONTH

As the kids get ready to go back to school this fall, Capernaum staff are taking advantage of great learning opportunities as well through the “Why Do We Do That?” continuing education series.
*In July, Julie Horn, OT started off these continuing education opportunities with a presentation on Primitive Reflexes.
*In August Paula Rabaey , an OT at Capernaum and a professor at St. Kates, is training staff about Motor Learning Theories.
*In September, staff will be trained in infant, child and adult CPR and the“How Does Your Engine Run?” program that teaches kids how to self-regulate.
