Homemade Summer Playtime Activities!
The following are
fun activities you can do with your children outside to encourage their
creativity and playfulness!
1. Make bubbles with water and a squirt of dish
soap! Use a flyswatter, straws,
strainer, and other kitchen utensils with holes to make interesting
bubbles!
2. Have a scavenger hunt in your yard by hiding
different objects around the yard and have a list for kids to check off items
they find!
3. Hide and find small toys in the sandbox
using tongs from the kitchen!
4. Draw a city of roads and buildings on
the driveway with sidewalk chalk with your kids. They can play with their matchbox cars and
little people in their own city!
5. Make an obstacle course or activity stations in
your yard. This could involve a
sprinkler, big wheel, jump rope, and tumbling.
It’s amazing how much more fun these everyday activities can be if you
put them in a sequence, number them, and say “Ready, set, go!”
