Earlier this year, Capernaum held their 15th annual dance recital at Christ Presbyterian Church. We had two classes of children and young adults ranging from 7 to 20 years of age. Each class preformed two dances for their families and fans. In total, the dancers were cheered on by about 100 audience members! Some dancers conquered their nerves of performing, and others found a new love of being in front of others. In addition, the dancers performed in the Barbi Lee dance recital with dancers of all ages. They were able to dance on the stage with the bright lights and an even larger audience. They were well received and wowed the other dancers with their excellent dancing! The dancers gained poise, confidence, coordination, and friendships throughout the year.Currently, the Capernaum dancers are continuing classes at the same location, but the studio is under new ownership and is now called 7 Movements Dance Studio. The dancers will continue to take part in the traditional dance recital as well as having the opportunity to continue their growth in dance and in their friendships. The current program offers two dance classes that are divided based upon dance experience, motor skills, and ability to follow directions.
