May is a busy month with school wrapping up and summer planning!
Capernaum offers Specialized Programs and Groups over the summer months! Children we serve often do not have opportunities to participate in organized extracurricular activities, like other kids their age. Capernaum is committed to providing experiences for children to learn and fine-tune skills, within a fun-filled group environment! Planning is currently underway at Capernaum Place-New Hope and Edina for the following groups!
“Friendship Club” (Social Skills Development Group)
“Friendship Club” is an 8-week adventure for children of all ages that develops and works on strategies for optimal socialization. Call 763-533-0363 or 952-285-2840 for info!
“Learn to Write Right!” and “Ready, Set, Write!” (Handwriting Groups)
“Learn to Write Right!” combines principles of the “Handwriting Without Tears”, “Getting It Write” and “First Strokes” programs and is designed for kids of all ages, who are just learning to write or who struggle with writing. Call 763-533-0363 or 952-285-2840 for info!
“Ready, Set, Write!” is designed to prepare kids of all abilities for the level of handwriting required prior to the start of kindergarten! Call Dena at 763-533-0363 for info!
“Kids on Stage!!!” is a club for children of all abilities, ages 7-17, who enjoy movies, theater, movement and story telling, and who can read and memorize simple scripts. 12 practice sessions emphasize voice and expression, listening and retention, eye contact and attention, movement and body language, peer trust, etc!
