Since 2014, Capernaum has been partnering with Academy of Whole Learning (AOWL). We began working with a couple kids for speech and OT, and we are now providing 3 days of OT, 2 days of speech, and a 1/2 day of PT! The therapy approach at AOWL brings together the best aspects of school and private therapies into this supportive learning environment, where staff are eager to collaborate and see their students thrive!
AOWL is a pretty special place! It is a non-profit school that is designed specifically to give students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or related learning differences, their first chance to succeed. Their mission statement: "We provide a personalized learning path integrating academic, social, and life skills for qualifying students with autism spectrum disorder or related learning differences."
This summer, AOWL has been working on moving to their new location in Minnetonka. July was a busy month including painting, moving, and setting up a fun new space for Capernaum therapists to treat, which includes a very large gym and small therapy room. We are so grateful to have such a cheerful environment to serve AOWL students!
